Dawn Chorus at Mannington

Dawn is the finest time to hear them and – with its mix of woodland, streams, pools and ancient meadows – Mannington boasts as rich a spring chorus as anywhere in Norfolk. To learn the voices of our wild songsters – and countless entertaining ways to remember them – join our Dawn Chorus Walk this year.
Plein Air at Mannington

These relaxed, inspiring plein air workshops invite you to look closely and respond to the landscape through expressive, painterly sketching. Led by artist Mary Blue, the sessions focus on quick sketches and mixed-media painted drawings rather than finished studio pieces. Working in sketchbooks, you’ll explore gouache, watercolour, ink and charcoal, using simple mark-making techniques to capture light, atmosphere and feeling.
