Rose Cottage
Overlooking the Medieval Mannington Hall, and refurbished for 2025, Rose cottage would have been originally accommodation for workers on the Mannington estate, with traditional exposed beams and low ceilings, the cottage oozes traditional period charm.
Entering the cottage, you’ll find a spacious and well-appointed traditional kitchen diner, fully equipped for your stay, with stairs to the first floor on the left and a cosy living room to the right. The living room offers comfortable seating for six, a large-screen TV, and access to the ground-floor bathroom with walk-in shower and WC. Towards the rear of the cottage is a generous utility room, ideal for storing outdoor clothing and footwear.
Upstairs, there is a second spacious bathroom with shower over bath, and three bedrooms – one with a king-size bed, one with twin/super-king zip-and-link beds, and one with bunk beds. Two bedrooms overlook the front of the cottage, while the third has views to the rear.
Guests have unrestricted access to the grounds of the estate, with glorious gardens and wonderful woodland walks. Please note, the gardens are open to the public from March to October, and as Mannington is a working estate, staff are present on site during the week.
The Hall is surrounded by an unfenced historic moat with areas of deep water. Guests with small children or pets are asked to take care near the water’s edge and supervise at all times.
Accommodation is for up to six guests.

“We loved staying at Rose Cottage, not only because it is situated within the beautiful grounds of Mannington Hall, but also because it is a convenient place to explore the wonders of North Norfolk or popping into Norwich. The extensive grounds provided plenty of walks for our Cockapoo, with different sights and sounds every day and starry skies at night. The property had plenty of space for four people, with all the equipment we needed for the week. The welcome box was a delight and the wine was so good we took a trip to the vineyard to buy a box. A very enjoyable week.”
